Angela Hagenbach is one of America's best, fresh voices in jazz 2004. She was critically acclaimed for her 1994 debut recording Come Fly with Me. She released Angela Hagenbach and Musa Nova in 1995 which features latin jazz; and her second solo recording, Feel the Magic in 1997. A third solo recording Weaver of Dreams will be released in the fall of 2000. "Blessed with impeccable pitch, Angela covers her full two and one-half octave range with ease, clarity and effortless agility" writes John Leisenring of PitchWeekly. Her sultry contralto voice offers a rich palette of colors from which to choose. Hagenbach moves easily within all jazz styles and excels in her interpretations of jazz standards and latin music. By the mid-1980’s, Hagenbach had built a successful career as a professional model that took her to the fashion capitals of the world.

"She possesses an extraordinary range, excellent phrasing and a singular style," writes Patricia Meyers of JazzTimes. In the fall of 1998, Angela toured Africa as an USIA Jazz Ambassador. Ingram’s Magazine selected Hagenbach as ‘Best Kansas City Musician’ for 1999 & 2000 and James Horowitz, Director of Jazz Aspen at Snowmass, has named her an ‘Artist of the New Millennium’. In the spring of 2000, The Angela Hagenbach Trio was chosen to tour as Jazz Ambassadors to the world under the auspices of the United States Information Agency and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The World Tour included performances in Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Oman, Uganda, Ethiopia, India, Thailand and Malaysia. When in Kansas City, Angela also works regularly as a voice artist, performing commercials and jingles for radio and television in addition to regular performances in jazz clubs throughout the region. Angela Hagenbach’s talents are placing her in the international spotlight for the second time. As a performer, clinician, and educator she has graced the stage at venues like The Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, Colorado; Jazz in Marciac, France, festivals, colleges and concert halls throughout the world.

Angela's new album "Poetry of Love" as great as her preceeding albums can be heard on most swiss jazz radios and are available by CSMPRO.
